critique

these pieces were done by Tilly, they include a range of different backgrounds, which add texture to the abstract portraits. she used neutral colours mostly, occasionaly adding in a slightly more vibrant colour. these pictures to me portray mental health, as I can quite obviously see the portrait, but they are surrounded by explosions of the paint, which look sudden and unexpected, which to me portrays the inner thoughts of a mental health patient.
although the pictures are very good and meant to be slightly abstract, I think the proportions of the faces needed to be reconsidered, so they are more realistic compared to the sudden movements and lines surrounding them.

these pieces were created by Will, and capture realistic portraits, but done in a more art deco style. I really like these pieces due to there realistic quality, and natural colours, but I also like the almost cartoonish feel of the central piece.however, I really wish that will had finished them, and maybe even included some old school details in the images.

these are my final pieces, I chose to focus on texture rather than realism, as my main focuses are my family tree and street art, so I used multiple pictures of my family, to create the texture of a wall. I chose to use warm colours, as I felt they wouldwork better with the black, white and grey shades I have used everywhere else, and they would exentuate the textures of the image better.

however, after reviewing my pieces I wish I would have created a more realistic picture to contrast with my others, and I also wish that I had done them on a larger scale, to replicate the sixes of walls.
